Jonathan Kirsch is a publishing, privacy and intellectual property attorney based in Los Angeles, an expert witness on publishing industry matters, and a lecturer and consultant on publishing matters. Kirsch is rated “A-V Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell, and his clients include book, magazine, newspaper, audio, video and electronic publishers, authors, agents, distributors, designers, artists and photographers, among other publishing industry businesses and professionals. He has long served as general counsel for the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) and lectures annually at IBPA’s Publishing University. Kirsch is the author of thirteen books, including two books on publishing law, and a longtime book reviewer who currently contributes to the Washington Post.
